On Saturday, February 14th Indivisible High Country joined other Indvisible orginizations along with many other groups to help raise awareness about the Republican-controlled N.C. Legislature redrawing North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, which covers much of the northeast part of the state, to dilute Democratic voting power. The 50-mile “Moral March” from Wilson to Raleigh, launched by the president of Repairers of the Breach and a co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign. Rev. William Barber II ended with a rally at the State Capitol in Raleigh, N.C.

No Kings Honk and Wave

Our rights were never given — they were won. From the ballot box to the picket line, generations of Americans have fought to secure fundamental freedom and dignity for all of us.

On Saturday October 18th, over 300 people joined the millions across the country to say that we will not accept a king or dictator in our country.  It is time for all of us to stand up and speak out and support the Constitution  Click on the "Learn What 's Next" button to see what the next steps are.

Speakers included clergy and people impacted by the anticipated loss of Medicaid and SNAP as a result of the "Big Beautiful Bill"

Hundreds of marchers processed to Rep. Virginia Foxx's office carrying a coffin, requesting to meet with her or her staff. No one responded.

NO KINGS March and Rally

Well attended West Jefferson #NoKings event in a deep red Ashe County, NC unites unusual allies. "But if there was an overarching, unifying, and most heartening theme to the event – one that helped draw together a broad and somewhat unusual group of political bedfellows – it was the simple idea that our nation is and should remain a constitutional democracy."
