Five marches to vote and two No Kings rallies planned in the High Country
Boone, NC — October 9, 2026 — Indivisible High Country and Repairers of the Breach announced today that they have organized five marches to vote early in Watauga and Caldwell counties. Indivisible High Country will also host a No Kings: Vote Early rally in Boone and Indivisible Ashe County will host one in Jefferson. The marches to vote and No Kings: Vote Early events are part of a national effort by the No Kings coalition, Indivisible, and Repairers of the Breach to set both a North Carolina and national record for the most early votes in history during a mid-term election. The Repairers of the Breach website shows 610 marches to the polls planned in 405 locations, with 26 days to go until Election Day and more marches added daily. NC is leading the nation with 137 marches planned.

IMPORTANT: Bring your valid ID with you in order to vote. IDs that will be accepted for voting include a NC drivers license, your U.S. passport, a printed App State Student ID or a military ID. Please note, the digital version of the App State Student ID will not be accepted, you must have a printed version.

Over 100 people showed their patriotism to our country and support for the people who make it work.
WORKERS OVER BILLIONAIRES!
On Saturday, March 28th over 2000 Freedom fighters and believers in this country showed up in Boone to protest against the current regime. Our Country is founded on the premise that "We The People" have the power and the right to say how we are governed. Across the country over 8 million people said with one voice that our country is by and for the people, not just the oligarchs and politicians.
On Saturday, February 14th Indivisible High Country joined other Indvisible orginizations along with many other groups to help raise awareness about the Republican-controlled N.C. Legislature redrawing North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, which covers much of the northeast part of the state, to dilute Democratic voting power. The 50-mile “Moral March” from Wilson to Raleigh, launched by the president of Repairers of the Breach and a co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign. Rev. William Barber II ended with a rally at the State Capitol in Raleigh, N.C.

No Kings Honk and Wave

Our rights were never given — they were won. From the ballot box to the picket line, generations of Americans have fought to secure fundamental freedom and dignity for all of us.
On Saturday October 18th, over 300 people joined the millions across the country to say that we will not accept a king or dictator in our country. It is time for all of us to stand up and speak out and support the Constitution Click on the "Learn What 's Next" button to see what the next steps are.

Hundreds of marchers processed to Rep. Virginia Foxx's office carrying a coffin, requesting to meet with her or her staff. No one responded.

"But if there was an overarching, unifying, and most heartening theme to the event – one that helped draw together a broad and somewhat unusual group of political bedfellows – it was the simple idea that our nation is and should remain a constitutional democracy."
