A brand new national campaign called Stop the Healthcare Heist.
Is Beginning in November
Stop the Healthcare Heist will provide A Strategic Framework for Unified Messaging and Movement Action across the United States.
This fall, 22 million people will see their healthcare premiums double, and 4.2 million will lose coverage- all to fund billionaire tax cuts.
Republicans in Congress have pushed healthcare cuts that will devastate working families, small businesses, non-profits, seniors and young adults.
As open enrollment begins November 1, millions will learn their ACA premiums are skyrocketing due to more than $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA.
A National Week of Action in November is our moment to unite, expose who’s responsible, and demand better. We need better healthcare, not less healthcare, but Trump and Congressional Republicans voted to send our healthcare costs skyrocketing to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
If you are a leader of a business, non-profit or an individual anywhere in the High Country whose healthcare will get cut or whose health insurance premiums will skyrocket, this campaign seeks to unite everyone facing the devastating economic and health consequences of these harmful actions by Republicans.
We will have more information in November as we build out this new campaign. It is being coordinated by the following national coalition:
Economic Security Project Action and co-sponsors AFSCME, Battleground Alliance, Caring Across Generations, Coalition on Human Needs, Community Catalyst, Community Healthcare Network, Doctors for America, Fair Share America, Families USA, Indivisible, The Main Street Alliance, MoveOn, Network Lobby for Catholic Social Justice, People's Action Institute, Protect Our Care, Public Citizen, Rural Democracy Initiative, and Working Families Power. Together will organize America to stop the Healthcare Heist!

NO KINGS March and Rally
Saturday, June 14, 2025

Well attended West Jefferson #NoKings event in a deep red Ashe County, NC unites unusual allies. "But if there was an overarching, unifying, and most heartening theme to the event – one that helped draw together a broad and somewhat unusual group of political bedfellows – it was the simple idea that our nation is and should remain a constitutional democracy."
